Cala Coticcio, also known as “Tahiti” for its crystal-clear waters and brilliant white sand, is one of the most evocative beaches in the La Maddalena archipelago. Located on the northeast coast of Caprera Island, it is a highly protected environmental zone (TA) within the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park, established in 1996 to preserve its unique ecosystem.

Access to the beach is allowed only when accompanied by authorized guides, in order to protect the local flora and fauna. The trail, approximately 1.8 km long, leading to Cala Coticcio offers breathtaking views amidst the Mediterranean scrub and the granite formations typical of the island. To protect the environment, several rules are in place: smoking is prohibited, pets are not allowed, and placing towels directly on the sand or vegetation is forbidden, though the use of mats is permitted. For further information and to book guided tours, you can consult the official website of the National Park: www.lamaddalenapark.it.
